All of my jewelry is constructed by hand. Although I use some commercial Argentium® Silver findings such as earwires and bails and Argentium® Silver chain, everything else is handmade. While I purchase some cabochons or cut stones, I prefer to shape and polish my own and many are made to fit specific designs.
I use Argentium® Silver almost exclusively. This silver alloy is very bright, very white and resistant to tarnish. It is purer than traditional Sterling silver, available in .935 and .960 purity. The .960 pure Argentium® is not available in mill products such as silver sheet or wire, so if one of my creations is marked with 960, the sheet and wire used in its construction were made in my shop with a Durston rolling mill and high-quality Italian-made draw plates. There is more information about this silver and a link to the official Argentium® Silver website in Articles .
Because I am currently not using lost-wax casting or any mass-production methods, every piece is a unique handmade work of art. Although some of my creations take many hours or even days to complete, I find this method of working to be very satisfying.
I also have a wide variety of high quality lapidary material and enjoy cutting and polishing cabochons for sale to other artists and craftsmen.
